We engaged Diane to initially design our kitchen. Diane spent time finding out about how we live and what was important to us not just as a kitchen but a full living area. The design that Diane came up with totally transformed the layout of the ground floor of the house making an open plan living, dining kitchen space that we could never have envisaged. The project involved taking out walls and new structural steel work and completely flipped the living space and kitchen from where they were previously. We have 2 small dogs so Diane additionally created a boot room for coming home with the dogs and a bespoke dog shower room off the boot room.
As part of the design our back staircase was removed as there was no need for a second staircase as it was originally put in to create a separate area as a granny flat. As the staircase came out we were introduced to David Allen a designer that had recently joined Diane’s company. David also had a background in bedroom and bathroom design and commenced transforming our upstairs to match the classy design of the newly designed downstairs. David has an exacting eye for detail and customer service. not only did David perfectly designed each room both he and Diane went shopping to accessorise the whole house. David even went the extra mile and met us at curtain and carpet shops etc and helped us choose matching and complimentary colours and furniture. So good was David’s eye for detail we currently have him back designing our home office and formal lounge – these projects are ongoing but already look amazing. Diane and David have not only given us a great kitchen they have given us a great perfectly redesigned house.
So impressed with the team at Diane Berry Kitchens including Martin and all the installation and support staff we have just engaged them to come and design our newly acquired holiday cottage in Northumberland.
We cannot recommend Diane and David enough – they have a vision we just can’t picture and each room has been designed so special.
